Turkey Shoot Ho-Ho Hold’em Poker Tournament Series Preview

The tournament series that has become an annual holiday tradition at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California, will begin on Thanksgiving. The first tournament in the 2009 Turkey Shoot/Ho-Ho Hold’em tournament series will be the $100 Turkey Shoot no-limit hold’em shootout, and it will begin at 7 p.m. PST on Thursday. The tournament series will feature a total of 13 events between now and Sunday, Dec. 13, including the $500 Ho-Ho Hold’em no-limit hold’em championship, which has a $200,000-guaranteed prize pool.

Games spread at the tournament series will include no-limit hold’em, pot-limit hold’em, and pot-limit Omaha. Special events include a Dream Team Poker $100 no-limit hold’em event on Saturday, Dec. 12, and a $200 Toys for Tots no-limit hold’em event on Sunday, Nov. 29. If players bring a toy worth $10 or more with receipt to the Toys for Tots event, the entry fee will be waived. There will be $55 mega-satellites for the championship event at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 10. The last $55 mega-satellite for the championship event will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11.

Tuesday, Dec. 1: Event No. 5 ($150 pot-limit Omaha/hold’em)
Wednesday, Dec. 2: Event No. 6 ($100 no-limit hold’em)
Thursday, Dec. 3: Event No. 7 ($50 no-limit hold’em — $20,000 guaranteed)
Friday, Dec. 4: Event No. 8 ($150 no-limit hold’em — $100,000 guaranteed)
Sunday, Dec. 6: Event No. 9 ($100 no-limit hold’em)
Monday, Dec. 7: Event No. 10 ($50 no-limit hold’em — $50,000 guaranteed)
Friday, Dec. 11: Event No. 11 ($500 Ho-Ho Hold’em no-limit hold’em championship — $200,000 guaranteed)
