Intralot, one of the world’s leading lottery-systems provider, yesterday took a 35 percent stake in CyberArts, the U.S.-based online poker software provider.
Andreas Papoulias, the managing director of Intralot Interactive said, “The acquisition of a strategic stake in CyberArts is a significant step towards expanding the online gaming capabilities of the Intralot group in view of impending regulation in European and North American markets.”
CyberArts has operations in the U.S., France, and Italy offering poker, bingo, and casino games and Intralot has the option of taking its stake to 51 percent.
