Georges Thome, the Paradise Poker Tour London championThe first leg of the new Paradise Poker Tour has been won by Georges Tohme who beat 256 competitors to lift the £23,500 top prize at the Empire Casino last weekend.

The 250 player cap for the £500 buy in tournament was exceed by seven players and a prize pool of £128,500 was created.

Georges said after his victory, “I’m delighted to win the first leg of the tour. The structure and venue was excellent. Paradise have certainly filled a gap in the market with a low buy-in tournament and structure you’d expect to find at one of the larger established tournaments. I’m looking forward to the next one in Prague already and securing my place at the top of the tour leader board.’

The final table payouts were:

1: Georges Tohme — £23,500
2: Marek Viščak — £20,000
3: Andreas Georgeiou — £18,000
4: Daniel Tafur — £13,815
5: Andreas Cyprian — £8,325
6: Jayden Ravji — £6,335
7: Johnny Jensen — £4,810
8: Toni Merivuori — £3,675
