The 2006 National Heads-Up Poker Championship will return to Las Vegas on March 4-6, in the newly designed Tournament Poker Room at Caesars Palace. Players will be competing for a total prize purse worth $1.5 million, including a top prize of $500,000.

Caesars is offering anyone a chance to compete with the poker elite, including Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Sam Farha, defending champion Phil Hellmuth, and runner-up Chris Ferguson, along with 55 other members of poker royalty, by qualifying in a supersatellite being held at Caesars in Las Vegas.
The player who secures the final seat in the
NBC Heads-Up Poker Championship will be determined on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. in Caesars newly designed poker tournament room. This satellite is open to anyone who wishes to participate and compete for the $1.5 million prize pool, with the winner to receive $500,000.
The buy-in for the
NHPC qualifying event is $230. There will be unlimited $200 rebuys in the first 90 minutes, and a final $200 add-on at the end of the third round.
Registration for this satellite begins Friday at 9 a.m., and will be open until the tournament begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
