Doyle BrunsonThe poker world has really stepped up to the plate to aid in relief efforts for the crisis in Haiti, and now DoylesRoom is offering its players a chance to give back, as well. Some of the most notable names in television, film, and poker are offering their time to the site for a celebrity bounty hold’em tournament, which will give players a chance to win as much as $50,000.

The action begins Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m. EST, and guest celebrity Mickey Rourke has already signed up to play. In his blog, Doyle Brunson wrote, “All you see on the TV news channels are about the earthquakes in Haiti. It is a real disaster area and America is trying to help and the online poker sites are no exception. Come play with us and help some unfortunate people.”

The tournament will have a $27.50 buy-in, with part of the prize pool going toward player bounties. DoylesRoom is donating all of the tournament fees collected, and in addition will match all bounty money won for the relief efforts in Haiti.

Any player who knocks out one of the celebrity bounties will pick up $1,000. Knock out two and you will earn $10,000. Knock out three celebrities and $50,000 will be put into your account.

First-time players will also get a 100-percent rebate on their buy-ins, making it a virtual freeroll for those new to the site. Those who are unable to play but still wish to donate can do so on the DoylesRoom.com homepage.

Card Player readers are eligible for a DoylesRoom deposit bonus of up to $600. Click on the banner below for additional information.
