The 15th installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is in full swing and as of Monday, a total of 10 events are officially in the books. The turnout has been great so far, with nine of the 10 events surpassing their original guarantees.
The series kicked off with a good old fashioned no-limit hold’em tournament, which featured the first of two $1 million prize pools. That event was won by SolidGoldman24k, who banked $162,468 after a heads-up deal.
The second major event replaced the Sunday $750,000 guarantee and was won by Chad “jse81” Batista. Batista also made a heads-up deal, but walked away with the lion’s share of $225,000. This was the second-largest score of Batista’s career and put him near the $2.5-million mark in career earnings.
Other notable winners thus far include Ronald “ScarJo” Lee, Chris “cdbr3799” Dombrowski, and Josh “AAeveryhand” Hillock.
