European Poker Tour -- Copenhagen Day 1B

Bertrand GrospellierDay 1B at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Copenhagen 35,000 DKK no-limit hold’em main event has come to a close, and the second day of play attracted 232 players. That brings the total for the event up to a final field size of 423 players. The turnout shrunk by more than 8 percent from the EPT stop in Copenhagen last year, which attracted 462 players. The total prize pool for the event this year is 14,212,800 DKK (€1.9 million), and the winner will walk away with a top prize worth 3,675,000 DKK (almost €500,000). The top 56 players will all walk away with prize money. Here is a look at the full payout structure:

When the final bell tolled tonight, 135 players survived. They will join the 113 payers that made it through day 1A, leaving the day 2 starting field size at 248. The chip leader at the end of the night on day 1B was Ilkka Koskinen, who ended play with 140,900. Right on his heels is Team PokerStars pro Sebastian Ruthengberg, who holds 140,800. Other professionals who finished the day with strong stacks included Team PokerStars pro Peter Eastgate (128,300) and Juha Helppi (120,600). Team PokerStars pro Bertrand Grospellier (pictured above right) also finished the day with a six-figure chip count with 113,700. Other notables who made it to the second day of play from day 1B were Team PokerStars pro Luca Pagano, Ramzi Jelassi, Michael Greco, Freddy Deeb, and the defending champion at this event, Jens Kyllonen.

Bertrand Grospellier raised preflop in middle position, and Jim Collopy reraised right behind him. Grospellier reraised to 6,600, and Collopy pushed all in for 20,000. Grospellier made the call, and they flipped over their cards:
