Nobody wants to be the guy who, after hitting his improbable two-outer on the river, jumps up and spills his drink across the crowded poker table. No, that guy is sworn at and sometimes even booted from the regular game, if it happens, say, more than once a month.
This week, a company introduced a drink holder specifically for use at poker games to prevent these accidents from occurring. The Hold'em Adjustable DrinkHolder and Tabletop Saver, which, according to company literature, was inspired during a Texas hold'em game, is here to save the day.
The DrinkHolder clamps on to the edge of any table up to 4 inches deep. The product hangs off the edge of the table, keeping bottles and cans that sit in the plastic cup holder below the lip of the table, away from elbows and nervous hands.
The cupholder is attached to an adjustable clamp that screws right onto the table from underneath, and can be adjusted to accommodate many sizes of bottles or cans.
Gentech Products of Illinois is marketing their product not only to poker fans. The Hold'em Adjustable DrinkHolder and Tabletop Saver is also recommended for those with RVs and boats, and even those who are tired of spilling beers into the computer keyboard.
A single drink holder costs $14.99. A set of four, which comes in red, blue, orange, and green, costs $52. A set of two costs $28.
