Day 1A at the “PokerStars”:PokerStars European Poker Tour Berlin €5,000 no-limit hold’em main event has ended in Germany. The first day of play attracted a large field of 389 players and 202 remain in contention at the end of the day. Many more are expected tomorrow so this should be one of the largest EPT events of season six.
The overnight chip leader is Kfiy Yuman, who ended play with 213,500. Other professionals that finished the day with strong stacks included Team PokerStars pro George Danzer, who held 132,400 (pictured right), Nasr El Nasr (109,900), and Juha Helppi (94,000). The list of survivors today also included Team PokerStars pro members Katja Thater, Sebastian Ruthenberg, Vicky Coren, Benjamin Kang, and Michael Keiner.
