The winner of the Black Belt London Live which took place this weekend at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London was local Frenchman Paul Pham. He beat Karim Louis heads up to take home $15,000 and the title.
Louis check-raised a flop of J 10 7 and then Pham made his ultimate move. Louis called Pham’s shove with J 6 for top pair but Pham showed K J and the turn further improved his hand with the K. The 10 river didn’t change anything and the event had its winner. Louis went home with $10,000 for his runner-up finish.
The sold-out $200 + $20 buy-in event saw many high class poker names taking part across the weekend including Ross Boatman, Karl Mahrenholz, Jake Cody, Rory Liffey, James Akenhead, Praz Bansi, Ian Frazer, and Liam Flood.
