Online Poker -- Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies Is Biggest Winner in MarchCole South Has Lost Nearly All of His 2010 Profits |
|
March is drawing to a close, but the high-stakes cash games on Full Tilt continue to draw players and crowds alike day in and day out. Let’s take a look at the biggest winners and losers on the month.
Cole South entered the month up nearly $3.5 million in 2010, but March saw a significant downswing in his bankroll as he lost over $3.1 million in the high-variance game of pot-limit Omaha.
South lost to Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Di “Urindanger” Dang, but most notably has been having trouble with Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies. (pictured above right) The two combatants boiled over in the chat box after Sahamies disconnected, giving a large pot to South who continued to bet his hand. Though some players occasionally transfer back a player’s equity after a disconnect, South refused to do so, stating that Sahamies wouldn’t return the favor.
You can read the contentious chat log below:

Though Sahamies lost that pot, he still had a great month at the tables, racking up the most winnings with over $2.6 million. Despite losing a bit to Sahamies on Thursday, Dwan is also a big winner with over $1.3 million in winnings. Dang is up nearly $1.6 million in March, as well.
Other than South, Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen appear to round out the bottom three, losing $1.6 million and $1.1 million each during the month.
