World Poker Tour Bucharest Finds Final NineCarlos Mortenson Bubbles Final Table After Recent WPT Win |
|
The first ever World Poker Tour Bucharest took place at the Novotel Bucharest City Centre Hotel in Romania, where 161 players turned up for the €3000 + €300 buy-in main event, creating a prize pool of €449,450.
Recent WPT Hollywood Poker Open champ Carlos Mortensen [pictured right] had a deep run in this event also, but unfortunately went out on the final table bubble after shoving with A-K and being beaten by pocket jacks.
His last win at the WPT was his third, meaning he is now up there with Gus Hansen for the player with most WPT wins. The $393,820 first prize added to his other WPT winnings nudges Daniel Negreanu off the top spot for number one earner in the history of the WPT, and also puts Mortensen up for WPT Player of the Year.
