Vanessa Rousso to Host Poker Boot Camp in New Hampshire

With the PokerStars North American Poker Tour pulling into the Mohegan Sun next week, one Team PokerStars pro will be hosting a poker boot camp nearby in New Hampshire. Vanessa Rousso will host her Big Slick Boot Camp at the Granite State Poker Club in Plaistow. The camp begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 5.

The camp is an instructional experience for players who want to optimize their playing skill and take their game to the next level. The six-hour camp costs $299, and participants will receive T-shirts, and have the opportunity to take photos with Rousso at a meet-and-greet during the camp. Rousso plans to share her cutting-edge approach to poker instruction offering specific playing strategies geared toward improving tournament earnings.

“My biggest passion outside of playing poker is in teaching poker strategy. I love watching that light bulb go off in my students’ minds when they discover something new,” said Rousso. “It is very exciting when their confidence level improves as a result of implementing what they have learned at my boot camp.” Rousso has developed a poker curriculum that allows participants to learn high-level poker strategy and game theory in an interactive learning environment, that incorporates learn-by doing simulations and educational sessions.
