PokerStars Announces France Poker Series

New Regional Tour Will Feature Seven Stops, Including Paris

Bertrand GrospellierPokerStars has announced a new regional poker tour, the France Poker Series. The first season of this new poker series will feature seven stops, beginning with the inaugural event on May 1-2 at Casino de Beaulieu on the French Riviera. The grand final will take place in Paris, and the tournament dates are to be determined. There will also be one event in Morocco (which was a former French protectorate) at a place and time that are still to be determined.

Team France PokerStars Pro members who will be playing at FPS events include Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier (pictured right), Arnaud Mattern, and Thomas Bichon. The buy-in for each of these no-limit hold’em tournaments is €1,200, and the participation cap for the first event is 300 players. The cap at the other tour stops increases to 400 players.

Here is a look at the season one schedule for the PokerStars France Poker Series:

May 1-2: Beaulieu
Sept. 25-26: Divonne
Oct. 17-18: Saint Amand
Nov. 13-14: Lyon
Dec. 18-19: Forge
TBD: Paris Grand Final
