PokerStars EPT Grand Final -- High Roller Day 1

Today marked the beginning of the €25,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo, and a field of 113 players entered. This was the largest turnout ever for a PokerStars high roller event and the top prize is a massive €1,000,000. The final table of eight players will all walk away with at least €85,000 when they take their seats at the final day of the tournament on Saturday, May 1. At the end of 11 levels of play on the first day of the event there were 41 players that had survived. The chip leader at the end of the night is Tobias Reinkemeier from Germany, who holds 457,300, and his next closest competitor is Luke Schwartz with 300,500. Other notables in the top 10 include the current Card Player Player of the Year leader Tom Marchese (261,000), and Sorel Mizzi (260,400) who sits right behind in the POY race. Liv Boeree moved all in preflop for 33,600 and Michael Frederic reraised all in over the top of her. Everyone else mucked and the two players flipped over their cards:
