PokerStars EPT Grand Final -- High Roller Day 1

Thomas Marchese, Sorel Mizzi, and Team PokerStars pro Bertrand Grospellier all end the Night in the Top 10

Bertrand GrospellierToday marked the beginning of the €25,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo, and a field of 113 players entered. This was the largest turnout ever for a PokerStars high roller event and the top prize is a massive €1,000,000. The final table of eight players will all walk away with at least €85,000 when they take their seats at the final day of the tournament on Saturday, May 1. Here is a look at the full payout structure for the event:

At the end of 11 levels of play on the first day of the event there were 41 players that had survived. The chip leader at the end of the night is Tobias Reinkemeier from Germany, who holds 457,300, and his next closest competitor is Luke Schwartz with 300,500. Other notables in the top 10 include the current Card Player Player of the Year leader Tom Marchese (261,000), and Sorel Mizzi (260,400) who sits right behind in the POY race.
