PKR Opens Betting Market on PKR Live IV

With one week to go until PKR Live IV at the Loose Cannon Club in London, the online poker room has opened an outright betting market at its new online sports betting service.

Current favourite is Team PKR pro Kai “kingkai84” Paulsen [pictured left] at 9/1 with team mates James “James666” Sudworth at 10/1 and Sofia “wellbet” Lovgren at 16/1. Lovgren recently finished fourth in her second ever live poker tournament in the Spring Poker Week main event in Gothenburg for SEK £78,000 (USD $10,804). Her first live event was the 2010 Irish Open where she made a deep run and left in 29th place for €9,800 ($13,215).

Former winner of a PKR Live event, Vince “vd12345” Diver is 20/1.

Marketing director at PKR, Simon Prodger, said, “We are delighted to be able to offer our first poker betting market on the newly launched sportsbook and the fact that it is our own event makes it even better. The market has already been popular since being launched and we are expecting to see a lot of money staked over the coming weeks.”

The event, taking place from May 7 to 9, 2010, has a $25,000 guaranteed first prize and is sold out.
