World Poker Tour Sets Late Summer London Date

Palm Beach Casino to Host First UK World Poker Tour Event in August

Mayfair Hotel hosts WPT London event in AugustThe World Poker Tour today announced its long-awaited first UK stop to be held in the Palm Beach Casino, at the Mayfair Hotel, London, from August 29 to September 5, 2010.

The £5,000 + £300 main event, from August 30 to September 5, will be filmed for television, featuring two day one’s and a cap of 400 players. The event is sponsored by PartyPoker.

Adam Pliska, WPT president said, “London is a great poker destination and has always been a major target in our ongoing expansion.

Simon Tomsett, poker manager at Genting Casinos London, said, “The Palm Beach Casino is delighted to welcome the World Poker Tour 2010 in London. We anticipate players from all over the world, playing for the prestigious title.”
