The Small Town Poker Tour (STPT), the American Idol for people who play poker instead of singing, announced it will soon sponsor poker tournaments in Indian casinos all around the country.
All proceeds for the tournaments will go to the nonprofit organization the North American Indigenous Games, which celebrates the sport and culture of the indigenous people of North America.
The STPT is a production company that will hold and film charity tournaments across the U.S. and Europe in hopes of finding and filming the next great amateur player as well as share great poker stories from all across the country.
Dates for the casino events have not been settled yet. The tournaments will take place before this year's World Series of Poker main event, which begins July 28. Cash prizes and a WSOP main event seat will be won at the tournaments.
Check the STPT's site in the next several weeks for date, times and location for this event.
