On May 7, only eight days after the race started in London, the drivers of the Gumball 3000 are scheduled to pull into Los Angeles. AbsolutePoker.com is helping sponsor the cult car rally and is giving its players chances to meet the AbsolutePoker.com racing team in L.A. at the Gumball 3000 wrap party that will be held at the Playboy Mansion.
Tournaments are now going on at AbsolutePoker.com where the ultimate winner will be sent to the wrap-up party. Four tournaments will be played to attend the Gumball 3000 in Las Vegas, and four more will be played to attend the Playboy Mansion party in L.A. The prize package is a trip for two people. Tournaments end May 3.
Players are also invited to attend racing events in the flesh starting in London Sunday, April 30, and collect lucky poker chips from the AbsolutePoker.com girls.
The chips have numbers on them. Every night between April 30 and May 6, numbers will be chosen and announced at AbsolutePoker.com. Whoever is holding the winning chip receives $1,000.
The Gumball 3000 started in 1999. More of a tour than a race, it has attracted many different drivers over the years, including the entire cast of Jackass in 2001. In 2002, the race started its tradition of ending at the Playboy Mansion.
