Wheeling Island Offering Playboy Tournament Series

The Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino, and Racetrack is getting ready for its first Playboy Poker Open, wherein players can compete in weekly satellites for their chance at a grand prize of $52,800 and a trip for two to a VIP Party at the Playboy Mansion on Nov. 19.

The Playboy Poker Open main event will take place Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. inside the Wheeling Island showroom. The cost is $550 to buy in directly, but players can compete in weekly $65 satellites for entry. These qualifiers run every Sunday at 2 p.m. beginning Sept. 7. The top three weekly finishers will play in the main event to compete for the Playboy package.

Also, running alongside the poker tournaments will be the Playboy Series of Blackjack. The top prize for the winner is $25,000, as well as a trip for two to the VIP Party at the Playboy Mansion. Players can buy into the main event for $550 or by winning a seat through one of the $75 buy-in weekly qualifying tournaments that begin on Sept. 3. and run every Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. The semi-final will run Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. and the finale is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 9 at 10 a.m.
