The European Poker TourThe European Poker Tour will be making its long-awaited return to Vienna in October as part of its season 7 schedule, PokerStars announced earlier this week.

The Austrian capital will host a €5,300 event with a €500,000 guarantee for first place on Oct. 16-31 at the Concord Card Casino at the Kursalon palace in City Park. This is the first time PokerStars has held an EPT event in Vienna in six years.

“I am really looking forward to playing in an EPT event in my new home town,” said Johannes Steindl, a Team PokerStars pro. “I have been living in Vienna for three months, and it is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. I’ll be playing my best game to try and take home the €500,000-guaranteed first prize.”

The start of the PokerStars European Poker Tour season 7 is mere days away, as the company prepares for its event in Tallinn. That tournament, a €4,250 event, will run Aug. 11-16.

Following Tallinn, the tour will proceed to Vilamoura for a €5,300 event.
