A new and exciting season of the PokerStars European Poker Tour kicks off today in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
The €4,250 buy-in event not only marks the start of season 7 but is also a first for the EPT. The Baltic States makes its debut on the EPT schedule, following a successful PokerStars Baltic Festival which was held in Tallinn in 2009.
Vanessa Selbst [pictured right] will play her first EPT event as a Team PokerStars Pro member, as will Ville Wahlbeck. They take their seats at the Swissôtel Tallinn among other Team Pro players such as Luca Pagano, Alex Kravchenko, Ivan Demidov, Arnaud Mattern, and Michael Keiner.
Other notables taking part include two of last season’s champions Allan Baekke (EPT Snowfest), and Kevin MacPhee (EPT Berlin).
Players sit down today for day 1A with 30,000 in chips. Levels are 60 minutes on both day 1A and 1B, but after this they will increase to 75 minutes.
