PokerStars Signs Sponsorship Deal With French TV

Leading Online Poker Room To Sponsor Canal+ Sports Programmes

PokerStars to sponsor sport on Canal+PokerStars.com has signed a sponsorship deal with French TV channel Canal+.

The company recently moved into the newly regulated and licenced French online poker market and will begin its sponsorship of select sports coverage on the TV station this weekend with the Basketball World Championships taking place in Turkey.

In May PokerStars announced its sponsorship of the Spanish national basketball team who are taking part in the tournament.

The deal will also see the poker room focus heavily on sponsoring tennis coverage including the U.S. Open and London and Shanghai Masters.
