UK-based online gaming company 32Red today reported half-year 2010 revenue for poker was down 12 percent from £500,000 to £400,000.
The company commented on the decline saying, “As reported by other operators, the poker market remains tough but the Board hopes that moves to attempt to restrict those operators still accepting bets from the US may lead to a more level playing field.”
Last year 32Red saw its poker revenue fall to £500,000 from £600,000 in the first six months of 2008.
32Red also operates sportsbook, casino and bingo businesses and overall it saw total revenue jump 33 percent from £5.8 million in the first half of 2009 to £7.8 million in the first six months of 2010.
