PokerStars is approaching an impressive milestone — 50 billion hands.
The hand will take place this month, and PokerStars is awarding large cash prizes to players who are fortunate enough to be dealt in for it.
At a cash game table, all players dealt in on the 50-billionth hand will be rewarded with $500 for every VIP Player Point (VPP) earned in the previous 50 hands (with the base prize of $500 for all players dealt in). The winner of this hand will also have their prize money doubled.
In addition, everyone dealt into the hand will receive an entry to the $5,200 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) main event on Sept. 26. Finally, the winner of the hand will be awarded $50,000.
While those participating in the 50-billionth hand will receive prizes, anyone who participates in other milestone hands (every millionth hand from 49.7 billion to 50 billion) will be awarded $50 for every VPP earned in the previous 50 hands played (with a base prize of $50). Also, any player who wins a portion of the main pot will get their cash doubled.
All together, there will likely be more than $1 million up for grabs for the promotion, which runs until Sept. 25.
