WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship Begins Saturday

$3,500 buy-in event has a guaranteed $2 million prize pool

Olivier BusquetThe World Poker Tour’s Borgata Poker Open championship will begin Saturday, September 18 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The $3,500 buy-in event has a guaranteed $2 million prize pool and will feature two day-one flights. The televised final table will wrap up the following Thursday, September 23.

A year ago, the Borgata Poker Open championship saw 1,018 entrants, with Olivier Busquet beating Jeremy Brown heads-up to win his first WPT title and the biggest payout of his tournament career, $925,514.

This year’s Borgata Poker Open began on September 8, and the championship event is the 17th tournament on a schedule of 21 events with various buy-ins and games.

Players in the championship event will start with 30,000 in tournament chips, and the blinds will begin at 25-50. Levels will be one hour and fifteen minutes long, and there will be a 15-minute break at the end of every two levels.
