PokerStars has begun the march to the 50-billionth hand milestone — and there is still time to participate.
While those participating in the 50-billionth hand will receive enormous prizes, anyone who participates in other milestone hands (every millionth hand from 49.7 billion to 50 billion) will be awarded $50 for every VIP Player Point (VPP) earned in the previous 50 hands played (with a base prize of $50). Also, any player who wins a portion of the main pot will get their cash doubled.
47 milestone hands have been reached at the time of this article’s release.
The 50-billionth hand will take place this month, and PokerStars is awarding everyone dealt into the hand an entry to the $5,200 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) main event on Sept. 26. Also, the winner of the hand will be awarded $50,000.
All together, there will likely be more than $1 million up for grabs for the promotion, which runs until Sept. 25.
Also, PokerStars is offering another incentive to compete in the promotion. For the duration of the promotion, anyone can get an instant $50 cash credit for 3,000 Frequent Player Points (FPPs), regardless of VIP level.
