Maxim Lykov Joins Team PokerStars ProLykov Becomes Fourth Member of Team for Russia |

An announcement was made on Friday to confirm that Maxim Lykov has joined the elite stable of players known as Team PokerStars Pro. The 22-year-old pro joins fellow Russian players such as Ivan Demidov, Alexander Kravchenko and Vadim Markushevski as representatives for their country.
Lykov learned the game in 2005 while studying in Moscow. Since then, he’s gone on to earn over $1.5 million and has picked up wins on the Partouche Poker Tour, European Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker Circuit. He also finished third at a WSOP event for $145,063. His biggest victory came in 2009 when he defeated a field of 296 at the EPT Kiev main event for $473,088.
Lykov has also had considerable online success, winning over $600,000 in the last two years. He used to compete on PokerStars under the name “justdec” but will now play under his real name.
