Aliante Station Casino Opens in North Las VegasGrand Opening Marks the Eighth Station Casino |

Aliante Station wanted to make sure no one could forget about its grand opening. That’s why it was set for 11:11 p.m. on Nov. 11 (11/11). If you did forget, but live within several miles of the North Las Vegas casino, you were probably reminded by the sounds and the sights of its fireworks display.
The eighth Station casino is officially open and running, and the new venue is attracting its fair share of gaming enthusiasts. For its grand opening, the place was packed, and people have been perusing the site pretty regularly since then, according to Aliante’s poker room manager, James Klosty.
The new casino has a 16-screen movie theatre including an IMAX, a 700-seat showroom, six full restaurants, as well as a food court, and a 12-table poker room.
Klosty thinks that poker players are going to particularly like the room.
“They’re calling us the mini Red Rock. The only difference is that we have space,” said Klosty. “I can drive a truck in between these tables.”
Compared to most poker rooms in town, where tables are pushed up against each other, Aliante certainly does provide a unique level of comfort. Although the poker room is located in the center of the casino, the smoke-free room is almost entirely enclosed. It is also conveniently located right next to valet parking, the food court, the sportsbook, and the bathrooms.
The casino offers $1-$3 and $2-5 no-limit hold’em, $2-$4 limit hold’em, $2-$10 spread-limit hold'em, and $4-$8 limit for Omaha high and Omaha eight-or-better.
Aliante offers the same promotions in terms of bad beats and high hands as the other Station casinos. It also offers its own in-house bad-beat jackpot, which requires aces full of tens getting beaten. The loser of the hand gets $3,500, the winner gets $2,000, and the rest of the table splits up $4,500.
If a player logs 50 hours at the casino in November and December, he will be eligible to play in the $300,000 freeroll at Texas Station on Jan. 17. Every player who plays in that freeroll will get a minimum of $65, while the winner of the event will earn $40,000.
Aliante does not have any tournaments scheduled as of yet, but Klosky said he plans to debut some either in December or January. Besides just your normal schedule of events, he wants to have a couples tournament, as well as a ladies-only tournament.
Aliante Station is located at 7300 Aliante Parkway, just off Interstate 215. For additional information, check out the Aliante Station Casino and Hotel web site.
