Crazy Hand Sends McCormick HomeJul 15, '13 Tom McCormick’s summer has ended in misery as his strong pocket pair was just cracked by a real small one. The action started on Connor Drinan who raised to 1,400 and the action was folded to Marc Daubach had not seen Drinan’s action. We only arrived on the scene when Tom McCormick was explaining to the floor staff what had just happened. The staff ruled that McCormick’s action was triggered by Daucbach’s forward motion and he was forced to put in the 1,400. At this point McCormick’s stack worth 8,550 was already in the middle. The action was folded back to Drinan who tanked for a bit and called. This is when the fun started as Daubach, who at first seemed to have no interest in calling the raise, was now contemplating a bet six times larger. McCormick burst out in laughter as he found it very comical to see all of this unfold. Eventually Daubach made the call. “I have no shot, I’m just not gonna look,” McCormick said as he buried his head in his arms. The flop showed 445 and Drinan bet 9,500. Daubach responded quickly by raising to 21,000 and Drinan went into the tank for several minutes. Eventually Drinan moved all in and Daubach snap-called for a total of 47,950. Drinan turned over 99 and looked like he was about to throw up when Daubach showed his 55. McCormick came out of his shell and showed QQ and he aswel wel in bad shape. The turn brought the A and the river the 6. McCormick was eliminated, Drinan knocked far down and Daubach is now sitting on around 122,000 chips.
