Amanda Musumeci entered heads-up play severely out chipped by nearly 6:1, but managed to score an early double up to stay alive. Still on the short stack and running to of time, Musumeci moved all in from the big blind over the top of Ashkan Razavi’s 200,000 button raise. Razavi called and was in the lead before the flop with K10 against Musumeci’s Q9.
The board came 10724K, giving Razavi top pair on the flop and two pair on the river to win the pot and take home the gold. Amanda Musumeci was eliminated in 2nd place ($481,643) as Ashkan Razavi wins Event no 9, taking home the $781,398 grand prize and the ninth gold bracelet of the 2012 WSOP.

Big Stacks Battle for Chip Lead
Amanda Musumeci came into the level with the chip lead, but quickly lost it Derrick Huang after both players missed their flush draw in a million-chip pot where Huang won the hand with queen-high against Musumeci’s jack. Huang took the lead that hand with about 4.1 million in chips, but Musumeci quickly took it back from Huang in a another big showdown that she won with two pair. Musumeci then lost the lead to Ashkan Razavi towards the end of the level when his pair of tens held up in a showdown. That hand put Razavi on top with 4.2 million, which he managed to extend to nearly 4.8 million as the level came to an end.
