Fitzpatrick was crippled in a huge hand after getting it all in before the flop with A8 against McCorkell’s 99. The board came K106910, and McCorkell’s hand held to double through Fitzpatrick and leave him with less than one big blind. On the next hand, Jeremiah Fitzpatrick was all in before the flop with KJ against McCorkell’s 109. The board came A106JJ, giving Fitzpatrick trips on the river to win the pot and double up. On the next hand, Fitzpatrick got it all in again before the flop, this time with 52 against McCorkell’s 85. Fitzpatrick doubled through Esfandiairi to take the chip lead after getting it all in before the flop with 77 against Esfandiari’s 99. The board came K74J5, giving Fitzpatrick middle set on the flop to win the pot and double up. Fitzpatrick took the chip lead that hand with just under 3.5 million while Esfandiari was left with just about 1 million in chips. On the next hand, Esfandiari was doubled through by Craig McCorkell after getting it all in before the flop with AJ against McCorkell’s AK. The board came Q95A9, giving both players top pair on the turn, but McCorkell’s king-kicker played and he won the pot. The Shootout tournament features a different format than a traditional No-Limit Hold’em event in that players must win their table before moving on. As players win their individual tables, they take those chips with them to the next round where they must win another table and so on, until the final table is reached. Day 2 ended with the elimination of Mickey Petersen in 11th Place ($9,086), and the final table is now set. Play will begin in Level 1 with blinds of 3,000-6,000 with a 1,000 ante, and will continue until a winner is determined. Craig McCorkell Takes Chip LeadApr 28, '10 On a flop of Q96, Craig McCorkell bet 47,000 and Josef Klinger made the call. The turn was the 8 and Klinger checked to McCorkell, who bet 117,000. Klinger then raised to 367,000 and McCorkell decided to just call. The river was the Q and Klinger checked. McCorkell then bet 381,000 and Klinger folded. McCorkell now has 2.1 million in chips.
