 We caught up with the action on a flop of 8 5 2 with Joseph Cheong betting 8,000.
Mitch Halverson then raised to about 33,000, or just over half of his remaining stack. Cheong went ahead and moved all-in, and Halverson called off for a total of 52,500.
Halverson showed K 8 for top pair, but Cheong was well ahead with QQ.
The turn was the 8, however, and Cheong was left looking for one of the two remaining queens. The river was the 7, and Halverson doubled up. Cheong was still left with a healthy stack of 295,000.
