Mizrachi Scores a Much Needed Double Up
John Racener raised from early position to 180,000. David Baker and William Thorson made the call before Michael Mizrachi moved all-in for 1,510,000. Racener and Baker folded and Thorson didn’t think very long before making the call.

He got one of them with the J
on the turn, to give him a gutshot straight draw, but the A on the river gave Mizrachi aces full and he doubled up to 3,590,000 in chips. Thorson still has well over 10,000,000 after the loss.
Babel Gets His Ace to Double
Jakob Toestesen raised to 200,000 from early position and Benjamin Statz called from the cutoff. Nicolas Babel shoed all-in for 1,915,000 and after Toestesen folded, Statz eventually made the call. It was a coinflip for just about 4,200,000.
Toestesen showed 1010 and Babel showed AK. The board ran out 9859A and the ace on the river shot Babel up and into the arms of his supporters on the rail. Statz fell to 5,100,000 with the loss.
Assouline Sent Home
On the turn the board read AQ6A and it was heads-up between David Assouline and Pascal LeFrancois. Assouline checked and LeFrancois bet 560,000. Assouline made the call and the J fell on the river.
LeFrancois fired all-in and after Assouline checked. Assouline had just about 2,700,000 and went into the tank. After a few minutes, Assouline made the call with KK. LeFrancois tabled the AJ, giving him the second nuts and Assouline was eliminated in 44th place.
Berkey Busts
Filippo Candio raised to 225,000 under-the-gun and Johnny Lodden made it 700,000 in the cutoff. Matthew Berkey called off his last 85,000 in the small blind and Candio called the three-bet as well.
The flop came J10Q and Candio fired 475,000 and takes down the side pot when Lodden folds. Candio only had 55, but was ahead of Berkey’s 42. Berkey couldn’t find miracle running cards and he was eliminated. Candio is now up to 11,000,000 in chips.
Luis Takes One off Racener
Damien Luis raised to 180,000 before John Racener three-bet to 440,000. Luis made the call and they checked it down to the river as the board came 7A107Q.
Racener fired 500,000 on the end and then was met with a check-raise all-in for 1,215,000 that sent Racener deep into the tank for over four minutes before folding. Luis moves to 2,805,000 in chips.
Mizrachi Drops One to Le
Duy Le raised to 180,000 from early position and Michael Mizrachi made the call from the big blind.
Mizrachi checked the AQJ and Le bet 240,000. Mizrachi made the call and the 7 landed on the turn. Now Mizrachi led out for 360,000 and Le made the call.
Both players checked the 4 river card and Mizrachi mucked when Le tabled his Ad10h and climbed to 5,250,000.
Parras Doubles Through Payne
Jerry Payne raised to 200,000 and was met with a three-bet to 550,000 by Theo Jorgensen in position. Eduardo Parras moved all-in for 2,810,000 from the big blind and Payne re-shoved over the top to isolate Parras. Jorgensen got out of the way and it was time for a showdown.
It was yet another race. Parras showed QQ and Payne tabled AK. The board ran out pretty dry for Payne as the dealer dealt out the J10735. Parras doubled up to 6,300,000 and Payne is left with 1,350,000.
Duhamel Joins the Top of the Leaderboard
Jonathan Duhamel raised under-the-gun to 210,000 with Filippo Candio making the call from the button and Patrick Eskandar calling from the small blind.
All three players checked the flop and on the turn the board read K369. Eskandar checked and Duhamel bet 360,000. Candio called and Eskandar folded.
The river was the 10 and Duhamel bet 215,000. Candio raised to 715,000 but Duhamel called pretty quickly. Candio announced “sevens” and Duhamel showed KJ and took the pot. Duhamel has now crossed the 10 million chip threshold.
Senti Scores a Double
Matthew Bucaric raised to 200,000 under-the-gun and got a call from Jason Senti, Dag Palovic, and Robert Pisano.
The flop came AJ5 and it checked over to Senti who bet 525,000. After two folds, Bucaric check-raised all-in and Senti called off his last 2,100,000 and was at risk.
Senti showed the AJ and was way ahead of Bucaric’s AK. The 6 was the turn card and the 2 fell on the river to double up to 6,100,000.
Clements Doubles Through Statz
Scott Clements shoved all-in for 2,070,000 after a raise of 200,000 from Benjamin Statz. It folded back to Statz who made the call with KK and was ahead of Clements AK.
The flop was kind to Clements when it came A105 and gave him the lead. The 3 on the turn and the 7 river card sealed the deal for Clements to double up to just over 4,000,000.
Cuong Nguyen Takes Over Chip Lead With Monster Pot
Brandon Steven raised to 225,000 from late position and got calls from Theo Jorgensen in the small blind and Cuong Nguyen from the big blind.
They saw a flop of K59 and after both blinds checked, Steven bet out 525,000. Jorgensen made the call and Nguyen made it 1,500,000. Steven got out of the way before Jorgensen made it 4,000,000 and Nguyen moved all-in for 7,620,000. Jorgensen called and there was 19,520,000 in the middle.
Jorgensen showed A3, good for the nut flush draw and Nguyen tabled the KJ, good for top pair.
The turn was the 10, missing Jorgensen and keeping Nguyen in the lead. The river was the 3 and Jorgensen lost the chip lead and Nguyen was left stacking a gigantic pile of chips.
Nguyen now took over the chip lead with 19,520,000.
