Phil Collins — 6,201,000 Notables Eliminated: Peter Feldman Featured Poker Tweets Allen Cunningham Hands: Erick Lindgren Loses With Kings All the money went in with Erick Lindgren holding K-K and his opponent tabling 9-9. Unfortunately for Lindgren, the kings didn’t hold. He was down to 900,000 after the hand. Bryan Colin Loses Most of His Chips All the money went in preflop with Bryan Colin holding A-K and his opponent holding pocket nines. Colin flopped an ace, but his opponent turned a set and had him drawing dead. Colin was down to about 250,000 after losing 550,000 in the hand. Joseph Cheong Doubles Up a Player With K-9, last year’s third-place finisher called a short stack’s all-in bet. The player held 6-3 suited and it was able to hit against Cheong’s hand. Cheong fell to 1.5 million after the hand. Bryan Devonshire Busts a Player Bryan Devonshire’s K-K held against pocket jacks, all in preflop, for about 700,000. He was at 4.1 million after the hand. Peter Feldman Eliminated Peter Feldman got his short stack in with A-J and was called by J-J. His hand failed to come from behind and he was gone. Leve Seven Hour One Update: Shorr Wins a Big PotJul 09, '10 Blinds: 300-600 with a 75 ante Players Remaining: 1,800 out of 2,412 Card Player Chip Counts Barry Shulman – 140,000 Tournament Leaderboard: 1. Dragan Galic – 313,500 Notable Eliminations: Tom McEvoy Player Twitter Accounts: Barry Shulman Big Hands: Shorr Vaults Up the Chip Counts We missed exactly how it happened, but we saw Shannon Shorr getting a whole bunch of chips in preflop against his opponent. His opponent was all-in and the cards were flipped up. Shorr tabled KK and was up against 88. The board stayed clean for Shorr as it ran out 95A104 and Shorr is now up to 133,000 and eliminating an opponent. Sediel Stacks A Player Erik Seidel and another player at his table got into a preflop war which led to Seidel calling his all-in of 10,000 with AK. The other player tabled the K9 and Seidel saw the good news. The board was good for Seidel as it came out 8764A. Seidel eliminated a player and increased his stack to 51,000 in the process. Nordberg Takes Opponent to Value Town Peter Feldman bet 4,000 on the turn after the action was checked to him with the board reading KQ2Q and was called by his opponent. The river was the J and it was checked to Feldman again. He bet 10,000 this time and was called. Feldman showed Q10 and his opponent mucked. Feldman is up to 73,000 with the pot. The Dragon Doubles Through Jett Seat 1 raised to 1,500 and David “The Dragon” Pham moved all in for 8,700 total. Acting after Pham, Chip Jett called and seat 1 got out of the way. Their hands: Pham: QQ The two pros were in a coin flip situation. The flop ran 9103, keep Phan in the lead. The board finished with the 7 and the J and Phan doubled up to around 21,000 in chips. Jett still had around 57,000 after the loss. Chan Gets Value From The Nuts On a board showing 10K89A Johnny Chan bet 7,000 into the pot, sending his opponent in seat 1 deep into the tank. After some time, the player called and Chan showed the nuts — QJ for the broadway straight. His opponent mucked and Chan saw his stack grow to around 140,000. Don’t Bully Your Seniors Berry Johnston bet 2,500 on a flop of 2102, and seat 5 decided it was time to test the former main event winner by raising to 6,600. Johnston thought for a minute, then threw out five 5,000 chips. Seat 5 thought briefly and then mucked his hand. Johnston had around 55,000 after the hand. Junglen Drops One Picking up the action after the turn, the board read K935. Adam Junglen fired 2,100 and the player in seat 4 made the call. The river was the Q and both players checked. Seat 4 tabled AQ for a pair of queens on the river and Junglen mucked. Junglen dropped the pot and was at 113,000. Phillips Gets Pushed Out Dennis Phillips raised to 3,500 from the button and the player in seat 2 raised to 10,000 from the small blind. Phillips tanked and then called so both players could see a flop of AQ9. The small blind led out for 15,000 and Phillips released his hand rather quickly. After the hand he was at 40,500. Hawrilenko Takes It On The Turn Matt Hawrilenko raised to 1,500 from the button and the player in the big blind made the call. The flop came down Q44 and both players checked. The turn was the 8 and the big blind checked again. Hawrilenko took a stab with 2,200 and it was enough as the big blind mucked. Hawrilenko took the pot and he was at 38,000. Mizrachi’s Ladies Hang On Picking up the action after the flop had come down Q98, the action was checked to Michael Mizrachi. He bet 4,000 and the player in seat 4 called. Seat 7 mucked and the remaining two players saw the 10 fall on the turn. Both players checked and the river was the 2. Mizrachi led out with 9,150 and seat 4 mucked his hand as the ESPN cameras swarmed the table. Mizrachi then gave them something to look at as he flashed QQ for top set. He took the pot and was up to 55,000. The flop came down 623 and both players checked. The turn card was the 6 and Seif led out with 1,100. His opponent made the call and the river was the 5. Both players checked again and Seif turned over 86 for trip sixes and his opponent mucked. Seif took the pot and was at 35,000. TheWacoKidd Snags A Pot After a flop of 652, a player bet 1,100 and Jared Hamby made the call. The turn brought the 5 and Hamby called another bet from his opponent, this one 2,100. The river was the 9 and the player fired 5,100. Hamby made the call and tabled 1010 and his opponent mucked. Hamby took the pot and was at 33,000. Feldman Drops A Pot Peter Feldman raised to 550 from the button and both blinds called him. The flop came down 623 and the action was checked to Feldman. He bet 1,100 and only the small blind came along. The turn was the K and both players checked. The river was the A and Feldman bet 2,400. His opponent called and Feldman showed Q9 for a whole bunch of nothing. His opponent showed AQ for top pair and the pot. Feldman was down to 33,000. Garza Backs Into a Straight Jeff Garza raised to 600 from late position and is three-bet by the player on the button. Garza quickly tosses in a call and both players check all three streets as the board runs out K7396. Garza turned over the 108, making the nut straight on the river. Looking surprised to have that hand shown to him, his opponent mucked his hand. After a preflop raise, Vanessa Rousso was heads-up with her opponent. The flop was 873 and after a check, Rousso tossed out a blue chip, indicating a bet of 500. The turn was the 4 and Rousso bet 1,000 after her opponent checked for a second time. The river was the 6 and Rousso bet 2,000 after her opponent checked one last time. After a shrug and a sigh, her opponent put out enough chips for a call and Rousso showed 99. Her opponent tossed her hand into the muck. Sunar’s Set Scoops the Pot Surinder Sunar check-raised all in for his last 3,075 on a flop of 956 and was called by his opponent. When their hands were turned face up and Sunar showed 66, good for middle set. Sunar needed to dodge a jack as his opponent held the JJ. He called and the big blind checked. The flop came down 1072. Feldman led out and Pan raised. After some more action, Pan was all in and tabled QQ. Feldman then showed 72 for two pair and the board ran out A6. Pan was eliminated and Feldman was at 600,000 in chips. Ace Cracker Ravi Raghavan moved all in preflop for his last 107,000 in chips. Andrey Zaichenko made the call and showed JJ. Raghaven turned over the superior AA and was in great shape to double up. But the flop was very unkind to the aces as it came J76 and Zaichenko flopped a set. The turn was the 2 and the river was the 6, filling up Zaichenko and Raghaven was eliminated. Zaichenko was at 770,000. Hellmuth With The Rockets Sergey Feklisov moved all in from middle position and action folded to Phil Hellmuth in the cutoff. He made the call and everyone else folded. Hellmuth tabled AA while Feklisov showed 88. The board ran out KJ653 and Feklisov was eliminated. Hellmuth was at 460,000. Level 3 Update: Eli Elezra EliminatedMay 31, '09 Blinds: 50-100 Players Remaining: 2,500 out of 3,021 Notable Eliminations: Eli Elezra Big Hands: Eli Elezra is Eliminated After a early position raise and a call by another player, Eli Elezra shipped the rest of his stack into the pot. The initial raiser folded to Elezra’s all-in, but the other opponent eventually made the call of 1,350 total with pocket nines. Elezra tabled a dominated under-pair of pocket sixes and was looking to get lucky to double up to the starting amount. The board ran out without any help for Elezra and he was eliminated. Nick Binger Tries to Make Something Happen The action folds around to Nick Binger who raises to 300 from the small blind and the player in the big blind calls the raise. The flop comes QQ10, Binger bets 400 and the big blind calls. The turn is the Q, and both players check. The river is the A, and this time Binger checks to the big blind who bets 1,500. Binger thinks for a minute before folding. After this hand Binger is left with just under 10,000 in chips, a healthy stack for the time being. Negreanu Out-Flopped, Opponent Doubles Through After a series of pre-flop raises, Negreanu puts the player on the button to the test by reraising enough to put him all in. The button calls and both players turn over their cards. Negreanu turns over the best hand, QQ while his opponent shows K10. The board comes AK577, giving Negreanu’s opponent a pair of kings on the flop. He doubles through Negreanu, leaving the PokerStars pro with just about 2,400 in chips after this hand. John Phan Makes a Good Laydown The player on the button raises to 400 and John Phan calls from the small blind. The flop comes KJ7, and Phan bets 400. The button raises to 1,200 and Phan thinks for a minute before folding 99 face-up. His opponent shows AA and rakes the pot. After this ahnd Phan is down to 4,600 in chips. Dale Pinchot vs. Peter Feldman With just about 1,000 already in the pot on a board of KJ23, Dale Pinchot bets 625 and Peter Feldman calls. The river is the 10, and this time Pinchot bets 700. Feldman folds, leaving himself with 1,100 in chips while Pinchot rakes the pot and brings his stack up to 3,500 this hand.
