Allen Kessler Bio
Like many poker players, Allen Kessler got his start in poker playing cash games before getting into tournaments. Born and raised in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area, Kessler often made the journey to the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City to play. After learning the game and moving up the ranks, Kessler began playing with the likes of Phil Ivey and Cyndy Violette. It wasn?t until 2001 that he decided to play tournaments. After finishing 16th in a World Series of Poker $5,000 Omaha eight-or-better event, he was hooked. Since then, he has cashed in more than 50 major tournaments. He has two final-table appearances in both World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker events.
Although he has accomplished so much and surpassed the million-dollar mark in tournament winnings, he is still looking to clinch one of those titles.
