Jared Reinstein Makes A Tough Call
Jun 24, '16
On a board reading K229, Jared Reinstein checked and Kirk Corson bet 1,600. After some thought, Reinstein made the call.
The river was the 6 and Reinstein checked again. Corson bet 3,200 and Reinstein went into the tank. After about 30 seconds, he made the call.
“You’re good,” said Corson, without turning his cards over.
Reinstein wasn’t showing either, so Corson flipped up the A.
“I called the bet,” said Reinstein, and Corson reluctantly showed the J as his other card.
Reinstein then turned over QQ and dragged the pot, increasing his stack to 33,000.

Kirk Corson Eliminated In 26th Place ($2,135)
Jun 26, '16
Kirk Corson was well below the chip average and looked down at aces in the big blind. Sounds like a great spot, right?
A player in early position opened, and it was folded around to Mario Oliveira in the small blind. He called the opening raise. Corson raised an additional 25,000, the original raiser folded and Oliveira called.
The flop fell 1086, and Oliveira insta-shoved. Corson looked pain, but he didn’t take long before calling all in for roughly 120,000.
Corson saw the bad news that his opponent flopped a set with pocket eights.
The turn and river offered no help to the pocket aces and Corson was gone.

Kirk Corson Doubles Up Thru Lion Gerlin
Jun 26, '16
Lion Gerlin had the button and Kirk Corson was in the big blind and the two players saw a K62 flop.
Corson check-called 11,000 from Gerlin.
The turn was the 10.
Corson shoved for 37,000, and Gerlin insta-called. Corson tabled the AA and was up against Gerlin’s K9. Corson was in great shape to double up.
The river was the meaningless 4, and Corson had some more chips to work it.
