The original raiser folded, as did the player in the middle, and the two all-in players put their cards on their backs. Garcia showed 54, saying he was pretty sure his raise “would get through.”
Bui held pocket eights, however, and they held with a little bit of a sweat as the board ran out K73J7. Garcia was left with just 600 in chips, and was eliminated shortly thereafter.

Garcia eventually remarked, “You three-bet without knowing what you were going to do?” Eventually the clock was called on Zbilijic, but he didn’t waste any additional time and quickly made the call after the tournament director came over to give him a countdown. Zbilijic tabled the QQ and he was way out in front of Garcia’s J8.
The flop fell 1095, which was pretty nice for Garcia because he had some outs to double up. The flop could have been much worse. Unfortunately, Zbilijic held two of the queens in the deck that Garcia needed to make a straight.
The 4 on the turn gave Garcia even more outs with a club flush draw. However, the 6 on the river was a total brick for Garcia and he was sent to the rail. Zbilijic was up to well above the average stack of 500,000 thanks to the hand.
