Sam Soverel Nearly Quadruples Up
Dec 22, '19
Richard Bai raised to 15,000 from under the gun, leaving himself with about 3,000 behind. Ankush Mandavia called from middle position before all hell broke loose.
Sam Soverel moved all in on the button for about 33,000, Matthew Wantman moved all in from the small blind for about 53,000, Bai committed his last few chips and Mandavia went into the tank.
While Mandavia was mulling over his options, Soverel took his two hole cards and put them in his mouth, nibbling on them so much that he ended up putting a dent in both cards. Mandavia called and all four hands were exposed.
Soverel showed 1010 and Wantman tabled AK, which left Mandavia’s A10 and Bai’s K7 in terrible shape.
The board ran out Q8365 and Bai was eliminated. Soverel won the main pot and one of the side pots, while Wantman won the other side pot between him and Mandavia.
“Did you really bite those cards?” Ben Palmer asked Soverel from the next table over. “They are kinda dirty.”
“They only came into contact with two teeth,” said Soverel.
Sam Soverel – 123,000
Matthew Wantman – 37,000
Ankush Mandavia – 68,000
Richard Bai – Eliminated
