After being short-stacked the entire day, Frank Sgambato made an impressive fourth place finish.
Immediately after losing Jay Feingold, Sgambato was all-in for about 780,000 with KQ. PJ Caruso – while still stacking chips from busting Feingold – called. Caruso showed AQ and the board ran out 976AQ.

Jason Calnan moved all-in for his last 180,00 from under the gun and David Grandieri and Frank Sgambato snap-called from the button and the small blind.
“This is my favorite hand,” Calnan said.
The flop was Q44 and Sgambato announced he was all-in for about 300,000.
“You want a count?” Sgambato asked Grandieri.
“It’s irrelavant,” Grandieri said.
Grandieri folded AQ face up and the remaining two hands were tabled. Calnan showed 88 and was behind against Sgambato’s KK. The board completed 103 and with Calnan’s elimination, the final 10 players were moved the a single table.

Jason Calnan Gets His Aces Cracked

Jason Calnan isn’t feeling great about his start to the day after getting it in with pocket aces against the Q-J offsuit of Frank Scambato and finding two queens on the flop.
The pot left Calnan crippled, but he was able to make a slight rebound after moving all in with K8 and rivering a straight against Dilipkumar Patel’s pocket queens.
Calnan now has about 200,000 in his stack.
