McCarty Wins After Crazy Runout
Feb 15, '14
Brooks McCarty raised to 2,400 from early position after which Leroy Lewin moved all in over the top for 11,000. The action was folded back to McCarty who counted out the chips and ultimately made the call.
McCarty showed AK while Lewin held the strong pocket pair, QQ.
The flop brought AQ9 and Lewin was almost certain to double up unless something crazy would happen. The craziness did happen as the turn, the K, and the river, the K, gave McCarty a bigger full house.
McCarty tried offering his apologies for this brutal runout, but Lewin quickly paced out of the room. McCarty now sits on around 40,000 chips.
