Frank Paul Making Moves
Feb 17, '14
Frank Paul came to the final table as the shortest stack in play but he has chipped up quite nicely.
Prior to the start of Day 3 Paul told us he was a bit nervous as this was the largest tournament he has ever played in. A recreational player who enjoys traveling with his wife in his free time, Paul is guaranteed at least $26,714 today.
Chris Tryba raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Paul three-bet to 155,000 from the big blind. Tryba called and the two went heads-up to a flop of A53. Paul bet 185,000 and Tryba called to see the 2 on the turn. Paul bet again, this time to 250,000 and Tryba called again. The river was the 3 and Paul kept up the aggression by betting 500,000 to which Tryba opted to get out of the way.
“Nice hand,” Tryba, a 2012 World Series of Poker bracelet winner, told Paul.
