Jeffrey Flaschen Doubles Thru Kenny Kemple
Jun 25, '16
Jeffrey Flaschen, who finished 10th last year, just won a massive pot against Kenneth Kemple. Kemple was in the cutoff position and Flaschen was in the big blind.
The two players saw a AQ4 flop, and nearly 55,000 from each player ended up going into the middle. According to Flaschen, he shoved for that amount into a pot between 8,000 and 10,000 and his opponent called the more than 5x pot bet.
Flaschen had 44 for bottom set, and Kemple had the K7 for the nut-flush draw.
The turn was the A, which gave Flaschen the full house. Kemple was drawing dead on the river. A meaningless 8 completed the board.
Kemple was once one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Kenny Kemple opened with the AK and Richard Sheetz put his remaining 6,000 into the middle with two queens. It was folded back around to Kemple, and he made the quick call.
The flop fell AAJ, which put Kemple out in front. The turn was the 5 and the river the 10. Sheetz was gone, and Kemple was up to around 90,000.

Kenny Kemple is now sporting a very healthy chip count of 87,000, so we stopped by to ask him how he got his chips.
According to him, Kemple doubled up shortly after sitting down, and then on the very next hand he slow played pocket kings on a board of 9-4-2-5-5 and managed to get Phuong Ta to commit his entire stack with A-9.
It was just a two-hand rush, but Kemple now has one of the bigger stacks in the room.
