DJ Lyons Doubles Up To Average Stack
Jun 24, '16
A player in the cutoff position raised, and DJ Lyons shoved all in from the button with the AK, and a player in the small blind re-shoved.
The original raiser thought about it briefly before folding pocket fours face-up.
Lyons was up against 88, and needed to come out on the right side of a race to stay alive late on Day 1A.
Fortunately for him, the flop fell KK10, giving him trips. The 10 on the turn had his opponent drawing dead on the river.
Lyons was up to around 50,000, which was about average in the room.
