Darryll Fish bet 4,500 when checked to, only to have Konstantino Pantaridis check-raise to 18,000. Fish moved all-in and was quickly called.
Fish had the best of it with the QQ
well ahead of Pantaridis’ AK
but that all changed when the J hit the turn. Fish was left needing the board to pair or he would be eliminated from the event.
The 8 on the river was no help and Fish was sent to the rail late on day 1B.

Jeff Metajan raised to 700 from the cutoff and was called by Konstantinos Pantaridis from the button. They both checked a flop of KJ3 and they watched the Q fall on the turn. Metajan checked and Pantaridis bet 1,000. Metajan check-called and the river was the 2.
Metajan checked a third time and Pantaridis bets 2,000. Metajan took a few moments, called and mucked his hand when Pantaridis showed A10. Pantaridis chips up to 30,300 while Metajan is left with 9,000.

Sean Winter raised from the cutoff to 24,000 and Edward Gilfillan called on the button. Konstantinos Pantaridis three-bet to 57,000 from the small blind and Winter quickly folded. Gilfillan took a moment before announcing he was all in and Pantaridis quickly called.
Pantaridis was in great shape with his AA against Gilfillan’s 66. The board ran out Q75310 and Pantaridis doubles up to 500,000 while Gilfillan slips to 1,200,000.

Jess Snyder raised to 18,000 from middle position and Sean Winter three-bet all in for 135,000. Action folded around to Konstantinos Pantaridis in the small blind, who moved all in over the top for roughly 420,000. Snyder went into the tank for just over a minute before letting his hand go.
Winter showed 1010 and was looking for a two-outer against Pantaridis’ QQ.
“I’m due for one of these,” said Winter as the dealer was getting ready to put out a flop.
The flop was 1086 and Winter went from way behind to way ahead. The turn was the 6 and the river was the 7 to give Winter a full house and double him up to 306,000. Pantaridis slides to 315,000.

Erik Christensen raised to 12,000 from under the gun+1 and Jess Snyder called from the cutoff. Konstantinos Pantaridis called from the button and the flop was 943. All three checked to the turn of 3. Pantaridis checked again, Christensen bet 20,000, Snyder callded and Pantaridis got out of the way. The river was the 9 and both players checked. The hands were tabled with Christensen showing A2 and Snyder showing AJ for a chopped pot.
