Toby Boas Eliminates Thomas Larson In Huge Pot
Jun 24, '16
Shortly before the level up, Thomas Larson raised to 3,300 in middle position and was called by Toby Boas in the small blind. The flop came down 964 and Boas checked.
Larson fired in a continuation bet of 4,600 and Boas took his time before check raising to 10,700. Larson then announced all in and Boas beat him into the pot with his chips.
“You flopped a set didn’t you,” asked Larson. “Man, I knew I didn’t raise enough preflop.”
Sure enough, Boas turned over 66 for middle set and needed to fade the two outs for Larson with his KK.
The turn and river were the 510 and Larson was eliminated. Boas now has 154,000 and is the second biggest stack in the room.

Marvin McCord Doubles Though Thomas Larson
Jun 24, '16
Thomas Larson raised from the button and Marvin McCord called from the big blind. The flop came down J98 and McCord checked.
Larson bet 5,000 and McCord check raised to 13,000, leaving himself with a little less than 13,000 behind.
Larson went into the tank, eventually saying, “I don’t know what to do here.”
After about a minute, he moved all in and then it was McCord’s turn to go into the tank. After about 30 seconds, he shrugged and made the call, turning over J9 for top two pair.
Larson showed 98 for bottom two pair, and failed to catch up on the A7 turn and river.
Larson was left with 53,000 after the hand, but McCord is now sitting with 55,000.
