Brinkley vs. Dolan
Aug 22, '15
A player in middle position raised to 800 and Andrew Brinkley called from the hijack. DJ Lyons called from the cutoff, the small blind called, and John Dolan defended his big blind.
They were five-handed to a flop of 1066 and action checked to Brinkley, who bet 2,500. Only Dolan check-called and they were heads-up to the turn.
“Great,” said Brinkley. “Just who I wanted to call.”
The turn was the 3 and both players checked to see the J peel off on the river. Dolan reached for chips and tossed in 3,500.
“What can I even beat?” asked Brinkley. “A six beats me, a flush beats me, a jack beats me.”
“That’s why I bet that,” said Dolan. “I have no bluffs in my range.”
Brinkley didn’t waste much time in folding a ten face-up and Dolan mucks his hand face-down.
“You could beat like 7-8 of hearts or 8-9 of hearts and that’s like it,” said Dolan.
John Dolan – 86,000
Andrew Brinkley – 35,000
