Jacob Oelman Back For More

Jacob Oelman finished 31st for $3,100 during the Card Player Poker Tour Bicycle Casino main event about a week ago and is back today looking to make another deep run in a CPPT main event.

After watching a player at his table get eliminated holding pocket Kings in a massive pot against an opponent’s pocket Aces, Oelman was dealt Kings in the big blind the very next hand. However, Oelman received a walk and added only the blind and antes to his stack.

Oelman then won another small pot on the very next hand.

From the small blind, Oelman raised to 500 and the big blind re-raised to 1,200. Oelman snap called and he and his opponent checked down a board of 975QK. Oelman rolled over 1010 to take the pot.

The two checked down a board of KJ349 and Oelman tabled A10.

Steinberg showed 87 as Oelman took the pot.

Jacob Oelman opened to 525 from under the gun and the cutoff and button called. Max Steinberg raised to 2,500 from the small blind and Oelman folded. The cutoff and button both called and saw a flop of KJ10.

Steinberg moved all-in for 10,050 and the cutoff came over the top to isolate. The button folded and Steinberg tabled Broadway with AQ. The cutoff had some outs with AA but they never materialized as the board completed 25.

Steinberg doubled and the cutoff was left with about 13,000.
