Paul Darden is a man of many careers. He is a professional poker player, as well as a former rap promoter and nightclub owner from New Haven, Connecticut. He was born on Oct. 27, 1968.
Nicknamed "The Truth," Darden was an accomplished seven-card stud player. In his early days, he sought mentor ship in no-limit hold'em, the up-and-coming game, by the great Phil Ivey. Watching and learning from one of the best helped Darden's poker career take off. He won the 2001 $2,500 seven-card stud World Series of Poker bracelet. He also took home a World Poker Tour title after winning the Gold Rush main event, and finished second to Gus Hansen in the WPT Bad Boys of Poker tournament.
