On a K52 flop, Rhett Mcgrew got his stack into the middle with the KQ, but he found himself up against A-K.
He began the hand with about 20,000.
The Q on the turn was what he needed, and he became the huge favorite to win the hand and score the double up. The 3 on the river was safe for Mcgrew and he doubled up. His opponent was sportsmanlike in defeat, telling Mcgrew, “nice hand.”

Michael Butz raised to 300 in middle position and was called by Thad McNulty behind him and Rhett Mcgrew in the cutoff. The flop came down KQ4 and everyone checked.
The turn was the 3 and McNulty bet 1,600. Mcgrew called and the river was the 7. Again, McNulty bet 1,600 and Mcgrew called.
“Do you have a king,” asked Mcgrew?
McNulty turned over K8, revealing that he indeed had a king. Mcgrew showed his AQ for second pair, top kicker, and then threw them into the muck. McNulty now has 41,000 in chips.

It was folded around to John Redlitz in the small blind and he raised to 100,000. Rhett McGrew was in the big blind and shoved for a little more than 300,000. Redlitz made the call with the 22.
McGrew tabled the Q7, and it was a race.
The flop was about as horrible for McGrew as it could get. The A62 gave Redlitz a set and had McGrew drawing dead.
Redlitz was up to roughly 800,000 after the hand.
